How this referral service works

Short version: this site is not an electrical contractor. It is a local referral service that connects DeBary-area homeowners with one licensed, insured electrician — and it is paid for by that electrician, not by you.

The required disclosure, in full

DeBary Electrician Connect (debaryelectrician.com) is an independent local referral service. We are not a licensed electrical contractor and do not perform electrical work. When you submit a request or call the number on this site, you'll be connected with a local, licensed, and insured electrician who services the DeBary area. Contact details you submit are shared with the contracted electrician so they can return your call. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties.

What we are not

We think this is worth stating bluntly, because plenty of sites in this category are deliberately vague about it. DeBary Electrician Connect does not hold an electrical contractor license, does not employ electricians, does not dispatch trucks, and does not perform, supervise, inspect, or warranty any electrical work. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim of licensure by us.

Florida requires licensed contractors to display their license number on their advertising. That obligation belongs to the licensed contractor, and once an electrician is contracted for this site, their business name and Florida license number will be displayed here so you can verify them independently before anyone comes to your house.

What actually happens when you call or submit the form

  1. Your request is recorded. The form stores your name, phone number, and whatever detail you provide about the job. Calls to the tracking number are logged, and may be recorded after the consent announcement you hear at the start of the call.
  2. It is routed to one local electrician. Not a national network, not an auction, and not a list of five contractors who will all call you. One licensed, insured electrician who covers your city.
  3. They contact you directly. Scheduling, the site visit, the quote, the work, the permit, and the warranty are all handled between you and that electrician.

How the money works

The electrician pays a flat monthly fee for exclusive access to the requests this site generates. It is a fixed amount that does not vary with the number of jobs, the size of a job, or whether you hire them at all. We are not paid a commission on your job and there is no referral markup added to your price.

We mention this because the incentive structure is worth understanding: a flat fee means we have no reason to push you toward an expensive job, but it also means we are not a neutral consumer advocate — we have a commercial relationship with the contractor we refer you to. Verify their license and insurance yourself, and get a written quote, exactly as you would with any contractor.

Your information

Details you submit are shared with the contracted electrician so they can contact you. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties. The privacy policy covers what is collected, how long it is kept, and how to ask for it to be deleted. The terms of service cover the limits of what this site is responsible for.

Common questions

So you don't actually do the electrical work?

Correct. We are a marketing and referral service. We are not a licensed electrical contractor, we do not employ electricians, and we do not perform, supervise, or warranty electrical work. Every job is performed by an independent licensed and insured Florida electrician, and your agreement for the work is with them.

How do you make money if the quote is free?

The site is paid for by the electrician, not by you. A single local electrical contractor contracts with this site for exclusive access to the requests it generates, on a flat monthly basis. That fee does not change based on whether you hire them or what the job costs, and nothing is added to your price for having come through this site.

Who gets my phone number?

The licensed local electrician contracted for this site, so they can return your call. We do not sell your details to unrelated third parties and we do not distribute a single request to a list of competing contractors. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what is collected and how long it is kept.

Are my calls recorded?

Calls placed to the tracking number on this site may be recorded for quality and service purposes. Florida requires all parties to consent to recording, so you will hear a short announcement before the call is connected. If you would rather not be recorded, use the quote form instead.

Can I check the electrician's license myself?

Yes, and you should. Florida licenses are searchable through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation's public license lookup. Ask for the license number, confirm it is active, and ask for a certificate of insurance before work begins — that is reasonable due diligence with any contractor, referral or not.

What if something goes wrong with the work?

Because the contract for the work is between you and the electrician, warranty and workmanship questions go to them directly. We would still want to hear about it — a persistent problem is a reason to end a tenancy — but we have no authority over another company's work and would be misleading you to suggest otherwise.
